Psychologist (Clinical Registrar)
Sam is a warm, approachable, and non-judgemental psychologist who prioritises building a strong therapeutic relationship while working collaboratively towards meaningful goals. He values genuine connection and aims to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Sam supports clients to develop insight into themselves and their patterns, while also building practical skills to navigate life’s challenges. He works with clients on building confidence, assertiveness, courage, and emotional resilience, helping them grow in how they navigate relationships, make decisions, and experience the world. He balances emotion-focused and skills-based approaches, tailoring therapy to each individual’s goals and needs.
Sam holds a master’s degree in psychology from Monash University. He draws primarily on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
He also has a background in Behaviour Support, with experience working with families and systems to support positive behavioural change. Sam has a strong interest in working with adolescents, young adults, families, and parents, and has experience supporting anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, relationship challenges, personal development, assertiveness, and behavioural challenges in school and community settings.
Sam is currently accepting new clients and has availability on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
